Privacy policy
Last updated 28 October 2026
One More Ayah is a free app for revising Quran memorization. This page explains what we store about you and why. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party analytics or tracking.
What we store
- Your account: your email address, a securely hashed password, and the name you give us, if any.
- Your revision data: the surahs you've memorized, the cards you create, how you rate each review, and the review schedule worked out from those ratings.
- Your settings: preferences such as language, script, reciter and theme. If you add an API key for an AI provider, it is saved with your settings so the word-meaning feature can use it.
Why we store it
Only to run the app: to sign you in, schedule your reviews, show your progress and keep your settings in sync across devices.
Who else handles it
- Supabase hosts our database and handles sign-in and account emails.
- Amazon Web Services hosts the website.
- Your AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Groq or xAI), only if you use the word-meaning feature with your own key. We send it the words you selected, the ayah they come from and any translations or tafsir you chose, and nothing that identifies you. That provider's own privacy policy applies.
Quran text, translations, tafsir and recitations are loaded from Quran.com and Quran Foundation services. We send them no information about you.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies only to keep you signed in and to know your time zone, so your daily reviews roll over at the right time. Your browser also stores your language and theme so the app looks right before you sign in. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
- You can reset your revision progress at any time in Settings.
- To delete your account and everything stored with it, or to get a copy of your data, email hello@onemoreayah.com from the address you signed up with.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
